Responsible for functional and technical support of the company’s ERP applications. This includes working with vendors to understand new functionality and patch releases, as well as design, development, implementation and support of all functional and technical requirements within the applications. This entails working with end-users, other ERP staff, other cross-functional staff, and management within the Finance, and other organizations to identify and implement application enhancements, new tools and manage process re-engineering efforts.
Business Analyst - Global Systems
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for functional and technical support of the company’s ERP applications. This includes working with vendors to understand new functionality and patch releases, as well as design, development, implementation and support of all functional and technical requirements within the applications. This entails working with end-users, other ERP staff, other cross-functional staff, and management within the Finance, and other organizations to identify and implement application enhancements, new tools and manage process re-engineering efforts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Implements multiple projects from initial requirements and business case development through post-production support.
2. Responsible for the configuration and setup of application modules.
3. Processes enhancement requirements. Performs analysis on proposed enhancements to include major patch sets.
4. Documents business and functional requirements.
5. Documents and/or reviews technical requirements.
6. Works with 3rd party vendors on release management and support issues.
7. Develops and executes solid project plans, including contingency planning, backup and recovery documentation.
8. Manages the Software Development Life Cycle for all assigned projects.
9. Manages trouble tickets assigned and assist with solving end-user issues as needed.
10. Performs special assignments in support of departmental objectives.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%). |

Skills:
|
Requires a BS/BA degree in Business or Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of three (3) years IT experience. CRO or pharmaceutical experience preferred. Experience with Oracle ERP applications is required, modules may include: HR, Financial and Project Accounting. Experience as a functional systems user or team member on at least one major application implementation effort. Proven leadership skills working with business unit managers. Solid project management skills, including ability to multi-task and manage teams. Ability to develop and manage business cases and budgets. A sound understanding of technology enabled back office support systems. Ability to manage multiple issues/projects concurrently. An orientation to process reengineering. A sound working knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required. SQL experience preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is essential. Effective oral, written, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach. |
