Performs tasks in conjunction with operating and maintaining local area networks, including administration, support, security, training and implementation of servers and applications to fulfill the information technology (IT) requirements of CRO. May seek guidance from Senior Systems Administrator(s).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains all servers, applications and other technology equipment to ensure high availability of these systems to the organization.
2. Administers all servers at INC, which includes managing user accounts and passwords to maintain system security and eliminate the possibility of unauthorized system access. Maintains login scripts and security preferences to ensure only specific users have access to certain applications and documents on INC servers.
3. Ensures that all server and workstation backups are performed nightly and completed successfully. Implements and maintains a disaster recovery plan that allows restoration of corporate information onto servers or workstations in the event of hardware failure, fire, etc. Determines and implements application software standards for servers and workstations to ensure information consistency between servers and workstations. Determines application software requirements to be used for specific uses.
4. Performs all implementation of application software on servers and workstations in accordance with established software standards. Ensures that application software is functioning properly and installs necessary updates when available.
5. Performs tier four support for Help Desk operations.
6. May participate in application and network design discussions with other IT personnel.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%). |

Skills:
|
Requires an A.S. degree in computer science or similar discipline, or equivalent related experience and education, plus a minimum of four years in systems management. MCSE certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required. Requires above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills. The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary. Requires strong and effective documentation skills. |
